Porsche will have to watch out should the Mahindra SUV come onto the market. When they acquired SsangYong they delivered the Halo Coupe EV concept and they began to make their presence known with the Komodo concept. This could bring them a great deal of attention.
The Komodo Concept was the brainchild of Makrand Patil, a designer from India, who created it when he was at IED.
He said that the concept was built aimed at the Indian market and that the car was suitable for all ages and groups. The vehicle is large and perfect for the terrain over in India, being suitable for going off road and through deep water.
He pointed out that the SUV had been designed with the brand attributes of Mahindra being taken into account. The brand name set standards for capability, authenticity, reliability and durability.
He said that he wanted to use the styling of Mahindra and evolve it into the ultimate vehicle, the Mahinds Komodo.
