For an average consumer paying more than $50,000 for a Honda car is viewed as daylight robbery. This is why many Honda fans are worried that the latest Civic Type-R is going to cost a bomb when it arrives here in the US.
Considering the fact that the Civic Type-R retails above $50,000 in the UK, the car is surely going to be expensive once it gets shipped over to the US. Then again, true Honda fans wouldn’t mind paying a big sum for the Civic Type-R and here is why.
The sports hatch is currently the record holder for being the fastest FWD hatchback in history. Furthermore, the Civic Type-R offers exquisite handling and a performance that is unrivalled at the moment. Surely, this is enough to justify the Civic Type-R big price tag.
Unfortunately, however, there is no telling on when the Civic Type-R will touchdown in the US and we also don’t know on how much it is cost. Industry experts are tipping the car to have its price capped at $60,000 so fans should start saving up from now.
