If you are a fan of Resident Evil, then you are in for a treat. Resident Evil 7 is rumoured to return to the series’ traditional horror gameplay and now there is evidence to support it.
The proof is with a leaked screenshot of Resident Evil 7 which shows the game coming back to Racoon City. The latter is basically a location that was used by the first Resident Evil trilogy and back then, everything is about horror.
Hence, this strongly suggests Resident Evil 7 to be based on the horror genre instead of the fast-paced action that has persisted since Resident Evil 4.
Of course, the above is still based on rumours and it is still best to take it with a pinch of salt despite the proof that surfaced on the web. Capcom will clarify more on this when they unveil Resident Evil 7 at E3 this year.
