The journey has ended for the Suzuki Grand Vitara in the UK. The Japanese carmaker announced that the SUV will no longer be produced and will only live in the memories of the masses.
Suzuki further revealed that the consumers can still get the Vitara through the leftover stock in its showroom before the vehicle gets phased out by the end of this year. The axing of the Vitara was meant to shift the SUV sales to the SX4 S-Cross.
The Vitara isn’t the only vehicle to get eliminated. Suzuki also confirms that the Splash and the Alto will also suffer the same fate. However, both vehicles will make its exit in spring next year as they get replaced by the Celerio.
The latter is bigger than the Alto and smaller than the Splash. It is also more efficient than both vehicles combined making it the ideal replacement in its segment.
