In a matter of months from now, Chevrolet will be looking to launch the next-gen Volt and it is going to come out with a price of $33,995. The stated price is inclusive of the destination fee and this confirms that the upcoming Volt is much cheaper than the existing model.
Even so, many are actually worried that the next-gen Volt will not sell as well as the first-gen model. This is particularly because of the vehicle’s styling that is no longer distinctive. The existing model’s styling is so exclusive that anyone can identify it as a Volt from a mile away.
As for the next-gen Volt, it adopts a common styling that makes it look like the latest Honda Civic or Toyota Prius. Chevrolet Volt fans already made it known that they don’t want to fork out $30,000 for a car that will be commonly perceived as a Honda Civic.
Regardless, the cheaper price tag will definitely be that pull factor. With most hybrids and EVs coming out with an extravagant price tag, this gives the future Volt that added advantage in the market. What do you think? Will the Volt end up as a failure?
