Rumor has it that the hold up behind the release of the Evad3rs iOS 7 untethered jailbreak is due to the fact that the jailbreakers wanted to wait until Apple had released the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.
One of the Evad3rs, @pimskeks tweeted that the Evad3rs need to carefully plan on the release date of their untethered jailbreak, that IF they had succeed in making one. The tweet goes;
“Even if we manage to make everything work, the time for a release must be chosen carefully,”
Another Evad3r, @Planetbeing said that it was too early to worry about the release date since they still have no idea what kind of obstacle they might run into while developing the jailbreak. Apple might release an update that patched the exploit they were working at and that would completely change everything.
There were also speculations that there will never be an iOS 7 jailbreak released since the iOS 7 is too secure. The jailbreakers were assumed to have given up on making a jailbreak. However, this had been denied by the Evad3rs and they said that they were still working hard to get the jailbreak completed. They had announced on twitter that they might already have all the pieces but putting them together might take some time. @Pod2g tweeted;
“Don’t expect a jailbreak next week people.”
@Pod2g told that he had got himself a new iPhone 5S but didn’t mentioned that it would be used to test an untethered jailbreak. The issue is not on the existing iDevices but on the upcoming iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5. For now, iDevices users that are waiting for the untethered jailbreak to be released just had to keep on waiting patiently.
