It wasn’t that long ago when Evad3rs launched the iOS 7 jailbreak and now, the fans are already requesting for the untethered iOS 7.1. However, it is going to be a long ride for the jailbreak community as the iOS 7.1 jailbreak for the iPhone 4S, 5 and 5S will not happen.
The highly popular team of hackers made it no secret that they won’t be looking at the iOS 7.1 at all. As a matter of fact, Evad3rs revealed that they will make a return for the iOS 8 instead.
This upcoming OS is expected to debut with the iPhone 6 later this year and is expected to be unveiled in WWDC 2014. Of course, this is based on the unveiling pattern which happens on every annual WWDC event.
On another note, the iOS 7.1 jailbreak for the older generation iPhones are already in the making by another well-known hacker, Winocm. The lad uploaded a video last month which demonstrates the untethered iOS 7.1 on an iPhone 4, 4th generation iPod Touch and first generation iPad.
As for the newer generations, they are much harder to crack thanks to the pre-installed security feature on their much upgraded processors.
