The Mazda CX-5 will be getting an upgrade for sure but what we do not know if how far Mazda plans to take it. There was report suggesting that Mazda is thinking about upgrading the Mazda CX-5 and offer it as a premium model.
The new Mazda CX-5 will be coming with an upgraded exterior design that is based on the new Mazda CX-9. It is believed that the design of the Mazda CX-9 is not the only thing the CX-5 will be taking.
The new Mazda CX-9 came in with a new engine. When Mazda reveal the engine, they announce that the engine was made to be compact and small enough so that they can actually fit it into the other Mazda model.
They did not mention a specific model but some people believe that it could be the Mazda CX-5 since there have been a lot of report about the Mazda CX-5 being underpowered.
If the Mazda CX-5 is made into a premium model, we are expecting it to come with a bigger price tag. It will also be competing with models like the Acura RDX and the Volvo XC60.
