Some people were not happy when Porsche announce that their beloved 2017 Porsche 911 GTS will not be powered by the standard naturally aspirated engine but will be running in the turbo engine instead.
We understand why Porsche needed to replace the engine with the new turbo engine but to many of their fans, going turbo would ruin the Porsche 911 GTS. Unlike the previous model, the 2017 model will be coming in with a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine. We know that the engine delivered about 420hp on the Carrera S which means it could be offering more than 420hp when it comes with the Porsche 911 GTS.
There were also talks about Porsche considering the six-speed manual transmission for the Porsche 911 GTS model. If that happens to be true, the purist might actually forgive Porsche for the turbo engine.
The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS will be release next year.
