The HTC One M8 is nearing its released and there appears to be a golden version of the device coming as well. The HTC One M8 gold edition will have a more premium look with its golden metal casing.
However, it won’t be coming to any carriers worldwide. The HTC One Gold will be an exclusive item and will be sold only by BestBuy. The mega-retailer has sealed an exclusivity deal which and is hinted to cost $600.
There is no difference between the HTC One gold and the other HTC Ones except for the colour of the casing. It is unsure on how long the exclusivity will last but it sure does tempt the consumers to get something which no other has.
It is not only HTC that is going for gold. Samsung also revealed that there will be a golden casing Galaxy S5. Coincidence? Then again, a golden S5 wouldn’t be as great as the HTC One M8 as it is made of plastic.
