When the worst has happened, things will only get better from there. This is the case for EA, which is nominated for the worst company award in the US this year.
The tournament is based on a knockout format where every round, one company will go against the other in the winner will get closer to the Worst Company award. For the past two year, EA has won this shameful award and this year looks to be the same for the game distributor.
However, things have gotten better as EA got eliminated by another company. It is a close shave for EA and they only have themselves to blame for being in the situation. In 2011, the company was crowned champion of the tournament after the huge Mass Effect fan base voted against EA for killing the ending in Mass Effect 3.
It was the same for last year as the fans still can’t forgive the game publisher. There is also that DRM issue with SimCity. As such, EA must have learned a valuable lesson and would want to make a comeback.
There is no better opportunity than making Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 3 a wonder, which will change the perception of the fans. EA better capitalize on both of these upcoming titles or risk facing the wrath of the fans yet again.
