Galaxy S3 users are probably feeling the pinch of not being able to update their device. For months now, the Galaxy S3 has been plagued with many bugs and glitches and this duration will look to extend until the next update arrives. Question now is what if it doesn’t arrive.”
For a start, the Galaxy S3 has a problem with reading SIM cards. Even after restarting the device and cleaning the SIM card with a soft cloth, it still fails to read. Users encountering this issue can try taking out the battery while the Galaxy S3 is running. While doing so, keep pressing the Power button to remove any electricity left in the S3. This will take about 5 minutes. Put everything back in its place and see if it works for you. If not, a SIM replacement is needed.
The other annoying glitch is with the Swift Key. Every time the notifications bar gets pulled down, a message will prompt Select Input Method. To fix this, rooting is required. Once rooted, you can uninstall all pre-installed keyboards together with Google Voice Typing. Do not remove the Swift Key.
Then there is the connectivity issue where the Galaxy S3 can’t connect to the TV. This is due to the device having a different configuration. 3rd party MHL cables can’t be used at all. Instead, a HDTV Adapter is needed.
These are three of the many issues on the Galaxy S3. We do hope that Samsung don’t overlook this and send in the KitKat update to fix the issue on the S3. Neglecting it will only make things worse for the users.
