Purist will not be happy when they see the 2017 Porsche 911 GTS. While it will still be a performance beast, the new 2017 model’s naturally aspirated engine will now be replaced by a new turbocharged engine and we all know how much they hate it.
The Porsche 911 GTS will be running on the new 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine that all of the other 911 models are using right now. The engine delivered about 420hp under the Carrera S and we know the GTS model will be offering more than that.
While the Porsche 911 GTS will not be as exciting as the previous model with the naturally aspirated engines, not all is lost. It is believed that Porshe might be thinking about offering the Porshe 911 GTA with a six-speed manual transmission. If that happens, the fans will probably forgive them for the turbo “downgrade”.
The new 2017 Porsche 911 GTS should be making its debut next year.
