We do not know if the Mazda CX-5 will have to thank the CX-9 just yet but the consumers are hoping that the upcoming 2018 Mazda CX-5 will come in with a better engine under the hood.
The good news is that Mazda actually does have a better engine to offer. When they showed off the Mazda CX-9, they also introduced their new Mazda CX-9 engine. According to Mazda, the new engine was made to be compact enough so that they can fit it into the other Mazda models.
While they did not specifically say that the 2018 Mazda CX-5 was going to get the engine, the fans are hoping that it would. One of the main reason why people avoided the Mazda CX-5 was because many of them felt that the vehicle was slightly underpowered.
The will not be a problem anymore if the CX-5 does come with the new engine.
