Cadillac is one of America’s most prominent carmaker and it had shown tremendous signs of growth in recent times after unveiling both the XTS and the CT6. However, what follows that is pure darkness.
Earlier today, an insider revealed the words of Cadillac’s chief, Johan de Nysschen, and it hints on something horrible happening in 2020 onwards.
For those who are unaware, Johan is calling for every Cadillac sedan to get platform overhauls. This will see the end of the XTS era as early as 2019 and also the CT6 following that.
It is difficult to understand why Cadillac wishes to reshuffle its line-up yet again. Things were just sweetening up and Cadillac had to revert back to the dark path.
Perhaps, Cadillac should take some inspiration from Audi. The German carmaker took decades to find the right blend for its luxury sedan. The lesson here is that Cadillac needs to prove itself with the line of sedans they produce before even thinking about killing it off.
At this rate, it will disrupt the stability of Cadillac and consumers will find it difficult to stay loyal to the carmaker since there is no fixed line of vehicles.
