When Apple launched the iPhone 5S many fans of Apple were upset that the phone only came with a camera offering 8MP. Now we have reports that suggest that Apple could use the same 8MP camera in the iPhone 6.
Even though the smartphone market is calling out for devices with cameras of high megapixels it seems that Apple have chosen to ignore this fact.
A report mentioned the iPhone 5s and said “Apple is not interested in playing the numbers game when it comes to camera sensor pixel count.
Instead of boosting the number of pixels in the iPhone 5s camera, Apple enlarged each pixel’s size to 1.5 microns in diameter, a 0.1-micron increase from the iPhone 5.
The larger surface area increased the sensor’s light gathering capabilities by 33 percent compared to the previous iSight rear facing camera.”
It has also been said that Apple are not working on the iWatch smartwatch, as many other reports have suggested they are. Mike Oertli said that there isn’t an iWatch coming out and he said “It’s my view that the technology needed to make that great product that does everything just isn’t there yet,” says Hockenbury, according to BGR. “There are too many compromises.”
At the moment there is a lack of evidence to back this up and the speculation is just that and needs to be taken with a dose of salt. It looks like we will just have to be patient and wait and see what Apple choose to offer in the future.
