2016 Mercedes GLE Is A Dreamy Luxury Crossover

The luxury crossover market is currently one of the most popular segments in the automotive industry but none of the existing luxury SUVs can compare to what the upcoming Mercedes GLE is going to offer.

The successor to the old M-Class was unveiled at the ongoing New York Auto Show and it came out with a styling that is different to the GLE-Class Coupe. This is what we particularly love about Mercedes-Benz as they rarely repeat the same design patterns for their vehicles.

As how it is pictured above, the new GLE has a structure that is more muscular than the Coupe-variant that is complemented by sharper edges. There is no need to discuss on the interior since the GLE, like other Mercedes cars, are considered as a mobile 7-star hotel room.

There will be three different models of the GLE coming and they are the 550e, 63 and 63 S. Both the 63 and 63 S are powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that produces 550 hp or 577 hp, respectively. The 550e, on the other hand, is a hybrid that runs on a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 with electric assistance to produce a total of 436 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.

Clearly, the upcoming Mercedes GLE-Class is something worth looking forward to and the luxury crossover is expected to make its debut later this year.
