Assassins Creed 5 could be called Assassins Creed: Unity and according to screenshots that have leaked the game could have the setting of Paris.
Kotaku leaked the screenshots which are of landmarks such as the Notre Dame.
The source said that Assassins Creed Unity wasn’t the only Assassins Creed title that would come out in 2014.
It is said that along with Assassins Creed: Unity for the Xbox One and PS4, Ubisoft will reveal a game with the codename of Assassins Creed: Comet for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
We have heard that the games could be released in 2014, but they may not be all that well received by people who have criticised the series due to its tight annual release schedule.
Splitting the development between the two teams and having one team work on a game for the Xbox One and PS4 and another team on the PS3 and Xbox 360 does make a lot of sense.
By creating a game for the Xbox One and PS4 it is hoped that Ubisoft will be able to make good use of the consoles and not have the worry of limitations by having to make sure that the game works on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
This of course isn’t the first time that rumours have gone around about Assassins Creed: Unity coming to light. A user on NeoGAF posted information about the next game with information that does look to be correct and falls in line with the leaks.
It was said that Assassins Creed 5 may have a setting in Japan, but it isn’t looking that way now.
