While these two might fall under the hot hatch label, they are very different. The Ford Focus RS is all about having fun behind the wheels while the Volkswagen Golf R is about comfort and practicality.
The Volkswagen Golf R comes in with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be mated to a six-speed auto transmission The engine will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque and will retail for $41,295.
The Ford Focus RS, on the other hand, will come with a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The Ford Focus RS will retail for $44,240.
