Valve can deny the fans from getting more information on Half Life 3 but there is no stopping the rumours and speculations on the game from spreading in the gaming industry. The wait might have stretched to a decade for Half Life 3 but that didn’t stop the fans from believing the game’s imminent coming.
The latest leak to surface are in the shape of codes believe to be for Half Life 3. These codes can be found on Source Filmmaker and was discovered by ValveTime. The codes are in the form of Python programming language and it acts as a placeholder for the game developer to access. In detail, the codes are simply directories belonged in a complex system.
The codes appear as follow:
1. “self.projFolder_lineEdit.setPlaceholderText(QtGui.QApplication.translate(“renderQ_MainWindow”, “D:\\sfm\\staging\\game\\hl3_movies\\elements\\sessions\\dog_fight”, None, QtGui.QApplication.UnicodeUTF8))”
2. “self.output_lineEdit.setPlaceholderText(QtGui.QApplication.translate(“renderQ_MainWindow”, “\\\\sfm1\\projects\\hl3_movies\\dog_fight\\renders\\”, None, QtGui.QApplication.UnicodeUTF8))”
3. “self.projName_lineEdit.setPlaceholderText(QtGui.QApplication.translate(“renderQ_MainWindow”, “Dog_Fight”, None, QtGui.QApplication.UnicodeUTF8))”
It is not difficult to identify the keyword, “Dog Fight”, which refers to the Dog VS Strider back in Half Life 2 Episode 2. On another note, the codes are found in Valve’s Filmmaker which could mean that the game developer is probably creating the cut scenes for Half Life 3.
Valve can evade all the Half Life questions thrown at them but the fans have leaks and rumours to refer to.
