Resident Evil games started off as a huge success as it offers gamers the ultimate horror and thriller experience. Ever since the first trilogy came to a close, everything has been going down the hill for the Resident Evil franchise.
The latest Resident Evil 6 is a clear example of this as it forces the players to act in multiplayer and the gameplay has been rather unoriginal as it goes the action-based direction.
Capcom has been guilty of this and after so much complains from the fans, their ears are finally listening. The future Resident Evil 7 is expected to revive the entire franchise as Capcom starts to acknowledge the feedback of the fans.
This is rather obvious as the game developer went out and did a survey to find out the player’s best memory of the franchise. It appears that the fans felt that resident Evil 2 is the best one in the saga. On the other hand, the fans highlighted certain features from the latest trilogy that can also make the Resident Evil better.
The major thing that fans want in Resident Evil is for it to return to its horror roots. On top of that, the storyline needs to be darker and tweaked to balance itself with the genre. With Capcom communicating with the fans, there is a great deal of potential with Resident Evil 7.
