Google Gives Cold Shoulder To Stock Music App

Almost every Android smartphone user that listens to music through their device relies on third-party music player apps due to the poorly made stock music app. For many years already, Google has failed to introduce a stock music player that is worth using.

The biggest disappointment came with the Android 5.0 Lollipop. This latest OS arrived with a brand new design and tons of new features. The upside to this is that the Lollipop changes how the music app looks like but it failed to make the application more functional.

We truly hope some Google feedback team is reading this as the stock music app deserves more attention. We are not asking for much but for Google to introduce more features as a standard like a sorting option within playlist, more format support, a playback chart and a shuffle mode that don’t recycle the same song within the playlist.

In short, the stock Android music app needs a major overhaul in terms of function. Otherwise, every Android user is obliged to rely on third-party music apps.
