2016 Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail: A Cayenne-Killer In The Works?

The Porsche Cayenne can easily be described as one of the best luxury SUVs in the world and if there is a vehicle that deserves to be its rival, it is the upcoming Cherokee Canyon Trail from Jeep.

Earlier today, Jeep released teaser images of the Cherokee Canyon Trail and the vehicle simply looks gorgeous. The Cherokee Canyon Trail has a mixture of two colours. The primary colour is tan while the secondary colour is satin black. The latter is used for the vehicle’s hood and roof.

Inside the Cherokee Canyon Trail, everything is wrapped under Katzin leather with JPP logo attached to the seats.

Also, we can expect the Cherokee Canyon Trail to be a menace on the off-road as it features more rugged features like two-piece underbody skid plate, oil pan and front suspension skid plates, and unique 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires.

Of course, there is no telling on what sort of engine will tow the Cherokee Canyon Trail but its sophisticated looks somehow suggests that the vehicle is best to compete with the Porsche Cayenne. More details on the powertrain are expected to surface at the upcoming Easter Jeep Safari event.
