Ever since Square Enix announced on the development of Kingdom Hearts 3, there have been a never-dying buzz on this upcoming sequel. With every passing day, fans are dying to know the game’s release date.
Based on the development progress, fans thought that Kingdom Hearts 3 will look to debut this year. However, things have deviated from its course as Square Enix is now focusing on Final Fantasy XV.
Such a sudden move by the game developer sparked some fury among the Kingdom Hearts fans. The game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, immediately revealed that it was due to Final Fantasy XV, which is much further in development.
As disappointing as it may sound, fans have to accept that. Despite that fact, the fans now thinks that there is a rivalry between both franchises under Square Enix. Kitase denied those beliefs and revealed that there is no competition between the two. It is all because of Final Fantasy XV progress in its development.
The well-known director, Tetsuya Nomura, confirms the delay will happen. This is due to the fact that the developers are still exploring more new directions for Kingdom Hearts 3. As such, more time is needed for its development.
If there is a time for Square Enix to reveal Kingdom Hearts 3’s release date, it will be during this year’s E3 in June. Fans of the franchise can look forward to that date.
