Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 And The Pending KitKat Update

Every major carrier in the US has already updated their Samsung Galaxy S4 devices to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, well, except for Verizon. For the umpteenth time now, the Big Red is taking its own sweet time to update its Galaxy S4.

Luckily for Verizon, its S4 users are not complaining yet as the international version of the device is also pending to get updated. This is actually surprising as Samsung often roll out the update to the international version of its devices first before giving it to carriers.

It is more good news for S4 users on Verizon as rumours are suggesting that the KitKat is currently being tested by the carrier. Verizon has a long history of keeping its users waiting for an update but when it arrives, the OS is problem-free.

On the downside however, Verizon never like doing any announcements whenever the update is ready. It simply updates its support page and rolls out the update OTA without any prior warning.

All in all, it is safe to assume that the KitKat will be available very soon. After all, Verizon will never be later than the smaller carriers in the US.
