Toyota Sienna Passengers Have To Be Extra Careful

Toyota Sienna passengers might want to put on their seatbelts whenever they get in so that they are securely strapped in even when the door slides open mid-drive.

Toyota is now recalling the Toyota Sienna after it was reported that the sliding door on the Sienna might not close properly. Not only will they be recalling 744,437 units of the Toyota Sienna but they will also be stopping the sales for 1200 units of the new Toyota Sienna until the problem is fixed.

It was reported that the power sliding doors would sometimes fail to opened when commanded and that the door will stay shut. It also has the tendency to open up unexpectedly even when the vehicle is moving putting the passenger in danger.

No fix has been announced yet but Toyota will start notifying their customers starting from the 21st of January. Affected models will be the 2011 to 2016 Toyota Sienna.
