Subaru CUV Goes Electric In 2021, Better Late Than Never

We all know that emission laws in most of the countries all over the world have been getting tighter and automakers have been looking for ways to reduce the emission rate of their vehicle. In the past, some of them would have considered diesel but with the VW scandal still fresh in everybody’s mind, it looks like electric might be the better option and that seems to be the option that Subaru will be taking.

Subaru is not really the greenest automaker in the market but it looks like they will have to go greener now with emission law getting tighter. Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun reported that Subaru next AWD CUV which will be coming in 2021 will be an all-electric model.

They also added that the new EV will be riding on Subaru’s new global platform. Of course, we have not heard from Subaru yet so it is best to take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

2021 is a little late for Subaru to start offering EV but at least it seems like EV powered models are in their future.
