Sony Xperia Z2 vs LG G3: Extraordinary vs Revolutionary

Earlier this year, two great smartphones were released and they are the LG G3 and the Sony Xperia Z2. Both devices are superb with their offerings but which is better?

The G3, in particular, is viewed as a revolutionary device as it became the first ever mainstream smartphone to run on QHD resolution. The G3 also comes with a large 5.5” screen and pixel density stands at 538ppi. The Z2, on the other hand, has a 5.2” screen that offers 424ppi.

Then again, the larger 5.5” screen means that the G3’s 3000mAh battery drains faster. The Z2’s 3200mAh battery, on the other hand, is famous for being long lasting.

In terms of processor, the G3 is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. This is slightly faster than the Xperia Z2 which is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

Then again, the G3’s 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front shooter is nowhere near as great as the 20.7MP rear and 2.2MP front cameras on the Z2.

Judging by the comparison above, both the G3 and the Z2 are so similar to each other. It is hard to tell a winner here as each device has their pros and cons. For us, we have to side with the Sony Xperia Z2 due to the fact that it has a better built quality than the G3.
