Sony Xperia Z2 Compact Release Tipped

We have all been waiting for the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact and now, we’ve got more information on what is to come from the device. Just yesterday, the Japanese company went out to reveal the Xperia A2 smartphone for NTT DoCoMo on its Japanese website.

This is worth noting as the Xperia A2 may as well be the Z2 compact that fans have been anticipating. Looking back at the Sony Xperia Z1 F, it was released in Japan first before coming to the world with the name, Z1 Compact. The A2 is expected to repeat this method of release by Sony.

The Xperia A2 comes with a 4.3” Triluminos display that offers 1280x720p resolution. It runs on a 2.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 20.7MP rear camera, 2.2MP front shooter, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot and 2300mAh battery.

The device carries a measurement of 128x65x9.7mm and weighs 138 grams which perfectly fits the bill for the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact. Also, it will be both water and dust resistant.

All in all, the Sony Xperia A2 is the likely twin device for the Z2 Compact. Then again, nothing has been confirmed and it is best to take it with a pinch of salt.
