About a month ago, Sony rolled out the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2. The firmware update was welcomed with a huge sigh of relief from the Xperia users as they were beginning to get worried that it won’t come at all.
Now, the attention is on the Android 5.1 update, which has been tipped to get rolled out later this month. The word is that Sony is currently in the final phase of tweaking the Android 5.1 and once this is done, the update will be launched to the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2.
It is also said that the Android 5.1 update is going to be the last piece for the aforementioned devices this year. Following this, Sony will be focusing on the upcoming Android M and the update is expected to come out next year.
