Both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Apple iPhone 5S are two of the best smartphones from a year ago and they are now viewed as a cheap alternative for those that can’t afford the new Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6.
However, it is back to square one for the consumers as they don’t know whether to purchase the iPhone 5S or the Galaxy S5. We have done this many times already and today, we are going to compare both devices again for old-time sake.
Looking at the Samsung Galaxy S5, the smartphone does not appear as gorgeous as the Apple iPhone 5S. It still features a plastic back cover but one can easily appreciate the large 5.1” 1080p display that is both crisp and sharp.
The Apple iPhone 5S sports a 4” display that runs on 1,136x640p resolution. Unfortunately, this is not as sharp as the S5’s screen.
Moving on, the S5 is equipped with a 16MP rear camera while the iPhone 5S only have an 8MP unit to offer. However, it seems that the pictures taken on the iPhone 5S are of better quality than the pictures taken by the S5. Perhaps this is because Samsung relied on too many software tweaks to improve the photos taken by the S5 which makes it look and feel unnatural.
However, the S5 is still the better choice as it offers a battery life that is able to outlast the iPhone 5S. In addition to that, the S5’s 2,800mAh battery is removable whereas the iPhone 5S 1,560mAh battery unit is fixed permanently.
