Everything Apple does or creates is being challenged by arch-nemesis, Samsung. We’ve seen the iPhone and Galaxy S devices tussling since day one and there is also the iPads and Galaxy Tabs contesting each other.
The latest to be challenged is the iTunes music service. Milk Music from Samsung is the buzz at the moment as the Korean company looks to offer ad free radio service to its users. This includes those on the Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note 3 and Note 2. Of course, the upcoming Galaxy S5 will enjoy this service automatically.
The service, powered by Slacker Radio, will offer users over 200 radio stations from around the world for them to enjoy. Unlike how it was on iTunes, there is no need to sign in and the app is promised to be ad free.
Users can scroll through the radio channels or even create their own station based on the artists they love. Such a thing is much like the famous radio app, Pandora.
Samsung Media’s vice president, Daren Tsui, revealed that the layout will be like the traditional radio scroll. Just from the looks of it, the modern vintage design will certainly appeal to the users.
Nevertheless, Milk Music is now available on the Play Store. Users of the devices listed above can start downloading the application already.
