Earlier today, a leak Samsung internal email shared with the world on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop roadmap. The email was brought out by a Samsung employee who refused to be name and it confirms that the OS will be reaching out to the Galaxy S5 first.
The internal email revealed that the S5 will be getting the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update at the end of this month and after that, Samsung will be rolling out the OS to the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge. Once that is done, Samsung will proceed to launching the update to selected smartphones and older devices like the Galaxy Note 3.
The email then concluded that Samsung will proceed to updating the tablets once the update for the smartphones is completed.
While it all sounds exciting, it is best for Samsung users not to have high hopes for the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. This is because the email is understood to be nothing more than a plan and plans can change. Over the years, an update from Samsung is prone to suffering from delays and we expect that to happen with the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
