With the huge blunder that Samsung made with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 last year, there was some speculation that Samsung might look to start fresh with a new series and put the Note series behind them but according to Samsung, they are not ready to throw the Note series out of the window yet.
According to DJ Koh, the head of mobile for Samsung, they will have a successor for the Note 7. He also added that he will work to bring back a safer, better and innovative Note 8.
The Note series had played a big role in the success of Samsung in the smartphone industry so it is easy to see why they would not want to give up on it just yet. Whether their customers will trust them once more will have to depend on how the Samsung Galaxy S8 performs this year.
Samsung has also made it clear that they are working to make sure the same thing does not happen again.
