Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 vs iPad Air: Stylus Is Deciding Factor

There is no denying the fact that the iPad Air is the thinnest and lightest tablet around. Heck, it is also quick and powerful. Despite that fact, will the 9” slate from Apple able to stay ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8?

For starters, the display on both devices varies tremendously. The 9.7” Retina display on the iPad Air is able to produce 264ppi.This is really massive considering the 189ppi produced by the 8” screen on the Galaxy Note 8.

In terms of speed, there is no challenging the Galaxy Note 8. The tablet is equipped with the 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microsSD card slot, 5MP rear camera and 1.3MP front shooter. The major perk is the S Pen which allows better organization of schedules and tasks.

The iPad Air might be smooth with the iOS 8 but its 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM is not enough to handle the big tasks. Memory is fixed at 16GB and the iPad offers the same pixel count with the Note 8 for both of its cameras.

All in all, the S Pen is the major game changer in this head-to-head challenge. However, it is not enough to keep ahead of the iPad Air. This is thanks to the 4G connectivity that is enjoyed by the latter.
