Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 vs Galaxy Note 3: The Ultimate Phablet

When it comes to phablets, it is the Samsung Galaxy Note series that have been dominating the industry. The latest Note 3 has proved yet again why its badge is the leading name in the market. Today, we shall compare it to a newcomer, the Galaxy Mega 6.3.

The first major difference between the two is the screen size. The Mega is obviously the larger of the two due to its 6.3” display that produces 233ppi. The sharpness is nowhere near the 386ppi produced by the Note 3’s 5.7” screen.

Both devices have the same 3,200mAh battery but due to the Mega’s larger screen, the phablet is unable to last as long as the Note 3.

In terms of speed, the Note 3 is much faster. The phablet runs on the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The Mega 6.3 is only equipped with a 1.7GHz 2-core Snapdragon 400 with 1.5GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU.

Even when taking pictures, the Mega’s 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera is no match for the 13MP rear and 2.1MP front camera on the Note 3.

Obviously, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the much more powerful device. The Samsung Galaxy mega 6.3 appears to be nothing more than a mid-tier device.
