There is not a whole lot of details about the upcoming Resident Evil 2 Remake right now. We know that the developers are looking to build it from the ground up but nobody really knows what they have changed and what they decided to keep.
Some of the speculation include the changing of the camera angle of the game. Some fans were against the idea while other seems to be fine with it as long as it does not ruin the whole atmosphere of the game.
We do not know when the remake will be released but there are already speculations about the Resident Evil 2 Remake beta version arriving with the new Resident Evil 7 game early next year. This was based on the screen that the RE7 Demo display before the demo started.
The new Resident Evil 7 game is set to be released on the 24th of January. It will be arriving as a PSVR exclusive game for a full year.
