Perodua Axia: What You Need To Know

Malaysia’s second car company will not be attempting to make a successor for the current Myvi or Viva vehicles. Instead, the Axia will come and stand in between the duo with it being slightly smaller than the former and larger than the latter.

The name Axia was trademarked under class 12 and class 37, which basically is a car. It is a huge growth for Perodua as the company will also be launching its new Global Manufacturing Plant which mimics Daihatsu’s policy where productivity is at its best and defects at an all-time low.

Previously, Perodua’s CEO, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, revealed that the next car coming will be a global EEV. Unfortunately, that is all the official information revealed. If so, then the Axia will definitely be an EEV.

The Axia will be based on the Daihatsu Ayla. Many local road users have already spotted the car roaming around the country without badges and there is no doubt that it is the Axia.

As for the Viva, it will soon be discontinued but that will only happen once the Axia is a couple of years old in the market.
