Nokia Lumia 1020 vs iPhone 5S: Windows vs Apple

Both the Nokia Lumia 1020 and the Apple iPhone 5S are two of the best smartphones from last year. Their popularity has yet to recede since most phones today are too costly to own. If you are planning to get either device, do check out our specs comparison below to see the better of the two.

For starters, the Nokia Lumia 1020 runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS while the iPhone 5S runs on the latest iOS 8.1. Of course the latter is better on this front since it offers more apps and better hardware-system integration.

In terms of performance, the iPhone 5S runs on the Apple A6 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera and 1.5MP front camera. Amazingly, the Lumia 1020 is faster as it speeds on the 1500MHz, 2-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Camera-wise, the Lumia 1020 is also much better as it offers a whopping 41MP rear camera and 1.2MP front shooter.

As for the display, the Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 4.5” screen that runs on full HD resolution. The pixel density stands at 334ppi. The iPhone 5S, on the other hand, comes with a 4” display that only has 326ppi.

With that being said, there is no doubt that the Nokia Lumia 1020 is much better than the iPhone 5S. On the downside of things, the Lumia 1020 does not support LTE data connection, which is a basic need in today’s time. As such, we have to side with the iPhone 5S in this contest.
