Nintendo has been teasing the Nintendo NX console for some time now and we finally got to see what the new console is all about.
Nintendo has just announced their new Switch console and just like what the rumors predicted, the Nintendo Switch console will be a hybrid console that you can use as a handheld device as well a home console. So how does it work?
If you want to use it at home as a standard console, all you need to do is connect it to the docking station. The side of the console is detachable and that will be your controller.
Plug back the controller and pull it out of the dock and you have a docking station. The video also seems to suggest that you can seamlessly switch between handheld and console even when the game is running.
While we might know what it is now, there are still a lot of unanswered question. Some people are wondering if they will be able to play 3DS equivalent games while other are wondering if it will be backward compatible? Will the device come with an onboard stage? Is the display on the handheld version a touch screen?
We are still waiting for Nintendo to give us the answers but so far, it is looking quite promising.
