Nexus 6: All Hopes & Dreams That Didn’t Make It

It is no longer a secret that Google intends to make each and every Android-operated devices their own through a new program called Android Silver. In other words, any Android operated smartphones or tablets, regardless of their make, will get a Google Play Edition.

While such a decision by Google is exciting and welcomed by the masses, it is sad to say that the program would also mean the end of the Nexus era. Now, a new rumour has surfaced suggesting that there won’t be a Nexus 6 coming at all.

The sixth-generation Nexus device is thought to be in production as it looks to succeed the Nexus 5. Heck, many see the need for a Nexus 6 as the smartphone will be the perfect farewell from Google. Then again, all hopes seems lost when @evleaks’ Evan Blass Tweeted that the Nexus 6 is no more.

The lad then throw in another post, saying the Android Silver Program killed the Nexus 6 entirely. A final Tweet then popped up claiming that the Android Silver Program will commence in February next year.

If this is true, then it will be the worst possible way to discontinue the Nexus program. Then again, this is still just a rumour and is best taken with a pinch of salt.
