New iMac Heats Up To Insane Levels During Gaming

The Apple iMac has long served the world as the perfect platform for artistic creation and digital renditions. The machines are simply well-equipped and fast enough to handle the demanding operations without any sign of breaking down. The new iMac, however, shares a different story.

A Mac expert revealed that the latest iMac changed history in a bad way. The new iMac actually clocked 104-degrees Celsius after 7 minutes of playing a game or rendering 3D. This is much hotter than average and it is definitely a worrying site.

The discovery was shared on a Mac forum where iMac fans and users are notified of the flaw. It is also explained that the extreme heat produced is due to the iMac’s slim built. The small structure basically means that ventilation is poor for the device.

In addition to that, the new iMac runs on 5K display resolution. This is something that demands a lot of power to operate and running anything on 5K will surely cause the internal components to go beyond boiling point.

Another analysis revealed that Apple has set up the ventilation fans to only work once temperature has reached 80-degrees Celsius. The only known solution for this is to install Temperature Pro where it will override Apple’s settings and run the ventilation fan based on the user configuration.

At the moment, there is no solution or response from Apple. Perhaps, the Cupertino-based company has already tried their best to keep the temperature down. The good news is that there has yet to be a fire caused by the hot iMacs.
