Moto X vs G vs E: Learn Your Alphabets

Motorola smartphones can be described as the most affordable in the mainstream market. Prior to the release of the second generation Moto X, there were three devices that was ruling the mid-tier market and they are the first gen Moto X, Moto G and the Moto E.

Both the Moto G and E are very identical to each other. In terms of appearance, they can be differentiate by the by the two horizontal bars on the Moto E.

In terms of display, the Moto E is the smallest of them all as it sports a 4.3” screen that offers 256pi. The Moto G is slightly larger with a 4.5” screen that develops 326ppi. The largest of the pack is the Moto X as it has a 4.7” 720p display that develops 312ppi.

Underneath the casing, both the Moto G and E are powered by the same 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor. However, the Moto E is slower since it is powered by the 2-core Snapdragon 200 chip with Adreno 302 GPU. The Moto G, on the other hand, runs on the Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

The best is still with the Moto X as it is powered by the 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Both the Moto X and Moto G are offered with fixed storage space of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The Moto E, on the other hand, has 4GB of space to offer but it has microSD support of up to 32GB.

In terms of camera, the Moto G and E have a 5MP rear shooter while the Moto X has a 10MP rear snapper. The Moto G also features a front camera, which is absent on the Moto E. Meanwhile, the Moto X comes with a 2MP front camera.

The Moto E, G and X is completed with a 1980mAh, 2070mAh and 2200mAh battery respectively. The Moto E retails at $117, the 16GB Moto G retails at $180 and the 16GB Moto X retails at $276.
