Moto G Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Appears Ahead Of Time!

In a matter of days from now, Motorola will be rolling out the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Moto G. The latter is one of the most popular smartphones from 2013 and it has also won an award for being the best budget phones around.

On the other hand, it looks like the Moto G is going to get updated first in India. This is evident after XDA developers from the nation launched a firmware ROM earlier today to the XT1033 variant of the Moto G.

The ROM comes with the Lollipop version 220.21.16.en.03, which is surprising really since the build number matches the official firmware number that is about to get released by Motorola.

As such, those in India, or anywhere else in the world should not hold back if they wish to manually apply the Lollipop update via XDA. After all, the available update is the official thing but if you prefer OTA, then it is best to wait for Motorola.
