Microsoft Surface Pro 3: Awesome Tablet With One Disturbing Setback

What is there not to like about the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3? It is powerful, portable and stylish, thus making it a great companion be it for work or play. Of course, the Surface 3 is something that is not cheap to own. There are 4 trim levels which consumers have to choose from.

The entry level trim retails at $799 and it is powered by the Intel i3 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The top-of-the-range model, on the other hand, is powered by an Intel i7 processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB internal memory.

Regardless of the model purchased, the reviews are never wrong in describing the Surface Pro 3 as a perfect replacement of an Ultrabook. The fact that it is light makes it super portable and the powerful processors are even better that what is found on most laptops today.

However, there is a flaw with the Surface Pro 3. Unlike the laptops, there is no way users can work on their Surface 3 while sitting without a table. Trying to work the Surface 3 from a lap is impossible as the keyboard is soft and the lightness of the device replies with poor centre of gravity.

This comes in conjunction with using the Surface Pro 3 with one hand. Say for example that you are in a rush to show a short presentation on your laptop to someone important. You can easily run up to the fellow, pull out the laptop with one hand while operating it with the other.

For the Surface Pro 3, this is impossible. Yes, users can roll back the keyboard for on-screen use but there isn’t any point to that since the display gets more restricted for the user.

On the Brightside of things, that is the only flaw with the Surface Pro 3 in our book. The overall device is great and one can deny that fact.
