Metal Gear Survive: Dev Makes Sure Snake Is No Longer Relevant

Well, if you are hoping that Konami would have mercy on all of us and put Snake into the next Metal Gear game well, you can keep dreaming because Konami seems to be going out of the way to make sure Snake would not fit into the timeline.

The new Metal Gear game called Metal Gear Survive was announced at Gamescom 2016 and along with the announcement was the new trailer for the game. The video start out with start in the beginning but as you watch, you will also realize that this new game is actually set in a time when Snake is comatose and as if that is not a good enough reason for Snake to stay away from the game, they also set the game in an alternate timeline so that their fans can’t complain about the missing character.

According to Konami, the new game will take place after Metal Gear Solid V and that players will be fighting against “living biological threats”.

The new game will be arriving next year on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the trailer below.
