Mazda CX-9 Can Also Surprise Off-Road

The Mazda CX-9 might not look like it can take on any off-road terrain but the Mazda CX-9 manage to beat tougher looking models to nab the Full-Size CUV of The Year Award.

The Texas Turck Rodeo will bring together 70 writers from the US and they will gather to test about 85 vehicles to determine the winners. The Truck Rodeo is a two-day event that will take place on the road and off the road. The fact that the Mazda CX-9 still manages to impress with the off-road drive says a lot about the people hauler.

It seems like the writers were not only impress with the exterior and interior design of the Mazda CX-9 but they were also impressed with the performance of the vehicle as well.

The 2017 Mazda CX-9 will come running on a 2.5-liter Skyactive engine. Mazda might have won in the full-size category but the overall CUV of Texas goes to the 2017 Volvo XC90.
