Mazda CX-7 Recall Over Rust Issue

Mazda will be issuing a recall to recall back the Mazda CX-7 after it was reported that the vehicle might have rust issue caused by water sipping into the suspension ball joint fitting.

Those living in states with road salt will be more affected by the salt on the road will cause the ball joints to corrode even faster. That means states like New Jersey, Michigan, New York, Iowa and more are more likely to have a corroded ball joint. According to Mazda, a total of 190,102 Mazda CX-7 will be recalled.

The models affected by the recall will include those 2007 to 2012 models made from the 14th of February 2006 to the 9th of May 2012. The corroded Ball joint might cause the steering to malfunction as it separates from the lower control arms.

Those affected models will be called in for an inspection, it the problem exists, Mazda will replace both the front lower control arms for free.
