LG G3 vs Nexus 6: Is Moto Really Better?

Last year, Google launched the Nexus 5 and it was based on the highly successful LG G2. This year, it was a different story as Google created the Nexus 6 based on the Motorola Moto X. This is despite of the new LG G3, which has been named as the smartphone with the best display specs around. Today, we will see if the Nexus 6 is better than the G3.

Price-wise, the Nexus 6 is definitely more expensive. The 32GB model retails at £499, which is £20 more than the G3. We will get to specs later but for the design, we find the cheaper G3 to be better looking than the Nexus 6. Heck, the former is also thinner than the latter.

In terms of display, the G3 created a revolution as it became the first ever mainstream device to introduce QHD resolution on its 5.5” screen. The Nexus 6 manage to offer similar screen resolution but unfortunately, its larger 6” screen means that pixel density is only at 493ppi. This is less sharp than the 534ppi on the G3.

Then again, the Nexus 6 can take pride with its performance. The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB RAM and multiple-level of internal storage. This is definitely faster than the G3’s Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Then again, the latter is much more flexible as it has support for microSD.

It seems that both devices are on-par on many fields but it is the Nexus 6 that is better. Last year, the Nexus 5 was living in the shadows of the LG G2 but this year, it is the opposite. The Nexus 6 gets the last laugh as the G3 sits in its shadows.
