Land Rover Discovery LR5 Gets High-Tech Treatment!

Land Rover has never failed to offer drivers the ultimate off-road experience. This feat don’t look like stopping as the company had just unveiled its brand new Discovery Vision Concept, which will amplify the thrilling off-road experience that Land Rover has been offering.

Aside from the new and improved off-road equipment, the Discovery Vision arrived with alien technology called the Transparent Bonnet. It basically turns the hood invisible so that drivers can check out on the hidden obstacles that are lying underneath and ahead of it.

Such a feature will surely come in handy for the off-road enthusiast. After all, the biggest problem for these adventurers has been the hidden obstacles that are lurking at the blind spots.

The Transparent Bonnet technology works with a wide angle camera that is planted underneath the bonnet. The camera will capture the surrounding terrains from the bottom and transmit the images to Head-Up Display. The latter will then broadcast the live feed on the bonnet thus, creating what looks like a transparent front.

Land Rover revealed that implementing such a feature will not only tackle the many off-road issues but also give the driver more confidence when taking on the tough terrain. On top of that, it will look badass when showing the feature off to friends and families.
